My Christmas Eve Routine 2016
I love hearing about different people’s Christmas Eve and Christmas Day routines. It’s always funny to hear what people get up to and how it differs from what you do.
My Christmas Eve tends to be pretty similar every year, although this year is a little different as it falls on a Saturday. I thought I’d share a run-through of my planned 2016 Christmas Eve with you all so you can see what I’ll be getting up to.
9am – 10am
I wake up, and either go to the gym or go for a run. I love working out on Christmas Eve because I know how much I eat and drink over the day/ the following day and I don’t want to feel guilty or limit myself for any reason. This year, my gym is still holding classes, so I’ll be heading to spin at 9am.
10am – 1pm
Go for a mooch with my mum. Family time is so important for me during the Christmas season (and all year round), so my mum and I always get out and about. It might just be a walk, or we’ll head out somewhere. This year I think we’ll be nipping to Tesco to get some last minute party food or drink. We like to avoid the crowds so this might happen the night before, but who knows.
1pm – 2pm
We bring out the Christmas movies, we set up the PS3 and we cover the living room table with picky food and drink.
2pm – 9pm
This is literally the time to spend doing whatever we want. We might watch some Christmas films, play some games on the PS3, pick at the food and drink and have a laugh. If any of the Boxing Day Sales start earlier we normally have a little gander through these as well.
9pm – 10pm
Sorting presents into piles, giving each other stockings to open the following morning and general set up for the next day.
10pm – Onwards
Bed time! We normally get up at about 7am (yeah seriously, I am a child at Christmas) so I hate being up late as I get really grouchy haha!
What is your Christmas Eve routine? Let me know what you get up to!
This will be my last post until after the Christmas season, so I want to take this opportunity to say that I hope you all have an amazing Christmas, and spend is surrounded by friends and family. Pig out, indulge and love it!
