My Favourite Detox Water Recipes

Detox waters are one of my favourite things to drink. Depending on what I put into them, they help me wake up in the morning, hydrate me throughout the day and add a bit of life into boring ol’ water. I also find they help encourage me to drink more than my average (I am actually one of those people who makes sure they drink eight glasses per day) when I have them.

When Bobble got in touch with me to see if I would like to review its Bobble Infuse bottle* I jumped at the chance. Normally I would just make a big of jug of detox water and decant when necessary, but having this bottle means I can use it on the go.

The bottle comes with a replaceable carbon filter, which removes the taste and odour of chlorine from any harsh water, it features a soft-touch carry cap and is bpa-free and dishwasher friendly.

The bottle is very, very easy to use. Simply clean out the first time you use it, run water through the included carbon filter and fill with your favourite fruit. I tend to make mine the night before and leave in the fridge overnight so a) it’s ready for me first thing in the morning and b) its really nice and cold.

First recipe: The Flush Out

Ingredients: Cucumber & Mint

This is really refreshing, and I know it sounds weird, but it tastes ‘clean’, like you’re putting something into your body to help flush it out.

Second recipe: The Post-Gym Water

Ingredients: Mint & Mixed Berries

One of my favourites, this recipe adds a hint of sweet from the berries and tart from the mint. It’s great post-gym.

Third recipe: The Wide Awake

Ingredients: Lemon & Mint

Lemon is a known ingredient to help flush out your system, whether you have it hot or cold. Having this first thing in the morning helps wake you up and kick-start your metabolism.
