Two New Palettes
I realised the other day that I haven’t written about makeup for a while. Saying this, I haven’t worn makeup for going on eight weeks now so I’m not too surprised it’s taken a back burner.
That said, it doesn’t mean I’ve stopped buying it though. Naughty Sophie. These two palettes were just so pretty that I couldn’t resist.
As these are mini reviews, I haven’t included swatches or a run through of shades and what they’re really like as I haven’t had a chance to use them yet, it’s more a ‘first impressions’ post.
I bought this off a blog sale for £22.50 inc delivery (as opposed to £27 exc delivery) and it had only been swatched so I thought that was a barg.
I think it’s a beautiful palette, and there are some shades which I’m very excited to try out, and some which I find a bit daring for my own tastes.
This was a limited edition palette which, unfortunately, is now out of stock everywhere I look. I feel pretty good that I managed to grab one while they were still about.
It contains a mix of 14 different matte and shimmer shades, and I’ve listed all the shade names below.
From L-R, top line then bottom:
Pink Champagne; Metallic Plum; Self-Made; Witchy; Blush; Blossom; Buttery
Deep Purple; Treasure; Hot & Cold; Sherbert; Isla; Spirit Rock; Hot Chocolate
The star of this post though, is this Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte palette.
To me, this palette is the epitome of beauty. The fact that it is an entirely matte palette makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Don’t get me wrong, I love a shimmer shade as much as the next girl, but there’s something about this palette that makes me want to stare at it and never let any harm ever come to it. Yes, it’s that intense.
My friend bought me this palette back from the US, and it cost me £32.78 with exchange rate. Pretty much the same as it costs to buy directly from the website today without P&P.
If you’re a lover of a smokey eye, and can’t be without your matte shadows, you need this palette. In fact, regardless of whether you’re a more is more approach, or a no-makeup makeup kinda girl, you still need this palette in your collection, even if you just spend your evenings looking at it.
From L-R, top to bottom:
Free Spirit; Force of Nature; Dreamer; Multi-Tasker
Caregiver; Natural Beauty; Best Friend; Bombshell
Super Mom; Wanderer; Power Player; Fashionista
