Mani Monday – Barry M Rose Hip

I told myself I was going to make more of an effort to post regularly on my blog, managed three posts in one week as a comeback and then radio silence the week after – so annoying! But I’m back now and kicking the week off with a Mani Monday post.

Barry M Rose Hip

Everyone knows from the abundance of Essie themed Mani Monday posts I write that it is my favourite nail brand, but every now and again you find another gem which stands out from the crowd.

The Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint in the shade Rose Hip.

As it’s summer and sunny (at the moment) I’m a big, big fan of bright shades, and the fact it’s more of a pastel shade than a bold, in your face colour.

For wear, I apply one layer of base coat, two thin layers of Rose Hip and I set it with my Seche Vite quick dry top coat. The Barry M Hi Gelly shade is really shiny anyway, as it’s supposed to mimic a gel manicure, so adding an additional shiny top coat really gives it a premium, gel-inspired manicure effect.

The great thing about the Barry M Hi Gelly range is that it retails at £3.99. It’s pretty much half the cost of average Essie shade but I still find Essie beats it in terms of durability and the time it lasts.

What do you think of the Barry M Hi Gelly range? What’s your favourite colour?

Thanks for reading,
