Charlotte Tilbury Nude Kate & Red Carpet Red
Since then, I’ve ventured out and purchased two more products from the Charlotte Tilbury range; Nude Kate, which is part of her K.I.S.S.I.N.G lipstick collection and Red Carpet Red, from her Matte Revolution lipstick collection.
Nude Kate is a ‘your lips but better’ shade. I was really worried that this colour was going to be too ’12 year old concealer lipstick’, too pale for my skin tone and making me look washed out, but it’s the perfect colour for day and night wear. It’s a slightly lustre finish, which makes it feel moisturising when applied and it can also be built up for a more intense colour. You can apply this with or without a lip liner, but I find using Lip Cheat results in it lasting slightly longer on first wear. Team this with a dark smoky eye for a sultry look.
Red Carpet Red is a ruby red with blue undertone which is perfect for creating a dramatic, classic red lip. It’s a matte finish, but as I found with Miranda May, the formula isn’t at all drying when worn, and can be reapplied easily without looking cakey on the lips. I apply a lip liner, then a layer of the red, blot with a tissue and reapply and it lasts for at least four hours without need of a touch up (sooner if you’re eating/ drinking). Team this with bold eyeliner and thick lashes and your evening, or day time, look is sorted.
I went to the counter when I was in Selfridges in London and I swatched all the Charlotte Tilbury colours. I still want to get a hold of Secret Salma, but I’m also lusting after Hel’s Bells or Glastonberry, although I think these colours are better for autumn/ winter.
The beard treated me to the Dolce Vita palette at New Year and I am SO excited to use it. I’m currently saving it for a special occasion (it’s too pretty to wear for work) and as soon as I try it out I’ll share my thoughts!
What have you picked up from Charlotte Tilbury? Let me know!
